Feeling overwhelmed or frustrated? Having communication issues in your relationships? Struggling as a couple or parent? You are not alone. Life brings on so many stressors and sometimes we need help navigating them. Together, we will figure out what is going on beneath the surface to increase your awareness and insight about yourself and your relationships. I believe that we can access and utilize your strengths, character, and emotions to help you become your best self and navigate your relationships and daily life in a successful and meaningful way.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have gained a wide range of training and expertise in the areas of psychotherapy, psychological assessment, crisis intervention, and human development, with specific interests in fatherhood, parenting, and couples counseling. Currently, I am an Attending Psychologist at Montefiore Medical Center and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I am the Associate Director at Montefiore's Supporting Healthy Relationships and HERO Dads programs, which are two federally-funded programs in the Bronx. I also provide psychological services for private patients through Montefiore's Faculty Practice, MEPA: Montefiore Einstein Psychiatry Associates. Additionally, I am one of the cofounders of the Association of Orthodox Jewish Psychologists (AOJP) and serve on the Executive Board.
It takes strength and courage to acknowledge the need for assistance and to take steps towards making a change. My style is warm and empathic, and I use humor to help you feel at ease.
